Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Body Wave (Consultation Required) - Medium Hair.

The stylist assesses hair history, current condition, elasticity, porosity and previous chemical services. We discuss desired wave size, maintenance expectations, and recommend pre-treatment or bond-repair options to ensure the chosen technique is safe and effective.

Typically 8–14 weeks depending on hair growth, texture, styling habits and home care. Using recommended sulfate-free products, avoiding excessive heat, and scheduling touch-ups as advised will maintain wave definition and extend the service life.

When performed after a proper consultation and with tailored solution strength, risks are minimized. We evaluate hair health, may recommend treatments or alternatives, and use neutralizers and bond-repair products to protect integrity.

Come with clean, product-free hair and bring a list of past chemical services and photos of desired results. If hair is damaged or recently colored, we’ll advise conditioning treatments or timing adjustments during the consultation.

Use gentle, sulfate-free shampoos and hydrating conditioners, avoid daily heat styling, and apply leave-in moisturizing products. Schedule trims and deep-conditioning or bond-repair treatments as recommended; sleep on silk to preserve the wave pattern.

Color timing depends on hair condition and chosen services. We often recommend coloring at least two weeks before or waiting two weeks after to minimize overlap. Discuss your color history during consultation to plan safely and protect tone.
