Get answers to common questions about Nostril wax.
Most clients feel brief stinging or pressure during removal, lasting seconds to a few minutes. We use soothing techniques and aftercare to reduce sensitivity. If you have low pain tolerance, we can adjust technique or offer numbing options to increase comfort.
Typically every three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth and personal preference. Regular waxing can decrease regrowth rate and make sessions more comfortable. We recommend tracking regrowth and booking when hair becomes noticeable or starts affecting appearance.
Waxing is not recommended for fresh piercings. For sensitive skin or healed piercings, technicians will assess and may perform a patch test. Alternative methods or extra precautions can be advised to avoid irritation or infection.
When performed correctly, risk is low. Proper cleansing, experienced technique, and recommended aftercare limit ingrown hairs and infection. If you notice persistent redness, swelling, or discharge, contact us or your healthcare provider promptly for assessment and treatment.
Avoid nasal sprays, heavy creams, or blood-thinning medications before your appointment. Keep nostril hair at a short, waxable length - not too long and not freshly trimmed. Arrive with a clean face and inform your technician of allergies or sensitivities.
Apply a cool compress and a gentle, fragrance-free soothing gel or aloe to calm tissue. Avoid hot showers, heavy exercise, or picking for 24 to 48 hours. Follow any post-care instructions from your technician and contact us with concerns.
