Sarah has been cutting and styling my hair for the past five years, and her craft is truly flawless. I always leave her chair feeling like the very best version of myself. This past weekend, though, I got to see her in an entirely new light.

My 8-year-old daughter decided she was ready to “graduate” from her kids’ salon and get her hair cut “like mom does.” I’ll admit, I was a little nervous. My daughter has very specific ideas about how she wants to look — but her ability to communicate those ideas can be… less specific. I hesitantly booked her with Sarah, knowing how much I value my own long-standing client relationship and hoping we wouldn’t end up in a tricky situation.

I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Sarah was incredible with my daughter. She immediately put her at ease by connecting over shared interests and asked just the right kinds of questions to help her articulate what she wanted. She treated her like a real client — listened carefully, took her seriously, and made the whole experience feel special.

What truly impressed me was the moment at the end when Sarah gave my daughter an opportunity to speak with me privately about anything she didn’t like about the cut. That level of emotional intelligence and thoughtfulness meant the world to me as a parent.

It was an amazing experience, and I would recommend Sarah to anyone — adults and kids alike.
